Each department is decentralised under the Local Government Service and reports through the District Coordinating Director to the General Assembly.

Central Administration
Human resource management, records, protocol, the General Assembly secretariat and coordination of all departments.

Finance & Revenue
Budget preparation, treasury operations, rating and revenue mobilisation, annual accounts and financial reporting.

Physical Planning & Works
Spatial planning, building permits, street naming and property addressing, supervision of Assembly construction works.

Agriculture (Department of Agriculture)
Extension services for cocoa, food crops and livestock farmers, Women in Agricultural Development (WIAD) and nutrition education.

Social Welfare & Community Development
Child protection, disability fund administration, LEAP support, community mobilisation and self-help projects.

Environmental Health & Sanitation
Waste management, public sanitation education, National Sanitation Day, food hygiene and premises inspection.

Education, Youth & Sports
Support to basic schools, scholarships, sporting festivals and youth development programmes across the district.

Planning & Budget Unit
Medium Term Development Plan, annual action plans, monitoring and evaluation, progress and performance reporting.
