Ten mechanised boreholes have raised the number of communities with potable water to 57 of 131.

Building & Construction Permit

The construction of 10 boreholes has increased access to potable drinking water in the district. Of the 131 communities in Bia East, 57 now have access to potable water.

Classroom block and furniture supply for basic schools

New classroom blocks and furniture are being delivered to reduce overcrowding and support the district’s basic education enrolment targets.

Agenda 111 district hospital works

The Assembly is supporting site works and community engagement for the district hospital under the national Agenda 111 programme.

District court building

A district court facility now serves residents locally, reducing the cost and distance of accessing justice.

Street naming and property addressing

Properties and streets are being named, numbered and captured in the district database to improve service delivery and revenue mobilisation.

Nutrition and WIAD intervention

The Women in Agricultural Development unit trains households on preparing nutritious meals from locally available food stuffs.
